Tideswell Living History: Annual Pop-up Museum
28 September 2026

Saturday 10th October 2026, 10am–4pm, Fountain Square Church. Free entry – donations welcome for future exhibitions. Drinks and refreshments will be available.
This year’s pop-up museum has a host of things to pique your interest, ranging from some recently donated personal papers from the Goodwin family of Sherwood Road, who many of you may remember; together with some poems and memorabilia about Reuben Leech of Tideswell who worked at Miller’s Dale Station (Leech was a well-known local poet who was tragically killed at age 37 on the railway line in 1893).
There will also be photographs of local places for the eagle-eyed amongst you to identify and name (we hope to provide a small prize for the person who can identify all the photographs); plus an interesting account of a long lost and long forgotten building in Tideswell together with a few stories of some of the people who lived in it in days gone by.
We look forward to welcoming you.
